Summercamp in China 2025

Do you love adventure? Meeting new people? And at the same time, learning a unique language and getting to know a new culture? Then we have the perfect summer getaway for you.

In the summer of 2025, our annual summer camp returns! This is your chance to explore the beauty of China while diving into its rich language and culture. Travel with us to study at our partner university, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in Dalian,  and visit well-known cities like Beijing and Shanghai. Immerse yourself in Chinese life, language, and traditions for two unforgettable weeks. Along the way, you’ll make new friends, discover famous landmarks, interact with international organizations, and savor the country’s world-renowned cuisine!

Planning

Costs

For CIM students and alumni

The summer camp program is free of charge* for CIM students and CIM alumni. You can apply directly for the CIM Summer Camp scholarship. The scholarship covers the educational program, accommodation, and travel program in Beijing, Dalian, and Shanghai. *International flights and needed visas need to be covered by yourself.

External students

External students can apply for CIM Summer Camp for a duration of one to three weeks in Beijing, Dalian and Shanghai. The specific fees have not yet been determined. These costs cover the hotel, domestic transportation, educational programs, travel programs, and visits to international organizations*. *International flights and needed visas need to be covered by yourself.

Visa free travel

Notice From March 14th, 2024 to December 31st, 2025, China has decided to implement a unilateral visa exemption policy for citizens holding passports from 12 countries, including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg. Citizens holding passports from the above countries who come to China for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, and transit for no more than 30 days can enter without a visa.

In order to further facilitate exchanges between China and foreign countries, China recently decided to expand the scope of visa-free countries. From November 30th 2025 to December 31st, 2025, a visa-free policy will be implemented on a trial basis for people holding passports from Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia and Japan.

Important to know

  • Unfortunately, students who attended our summer camp 2024 cannot participate in the summer camp for 2025. This measure ensures that everyone has a chance to go to China with us!
  • You have at least an official HSK exam certificate of HSK 2 or higher.
  • You are between 18-30 years old. If you are over the age of 30 you can still apply however you need to cover all costs yourself.
  • According to regulations, the entire summer camp group enters and leaves the country at the same time as a whole. However, if a student is determined to stay longer, DUFE needs report to the China-Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center to confirm whether it is possible.
