Our Summer Camp to China is a unique opportunity to explore China up close. Travel with us and learn more about the Chinese language and culture while meeting amazing people. You will study at our partner university in Dalian and visit cities like Beijing and Shanghai. Immerse yourself in Chinese life for two weeks: make new friends, visit famous landmarks and international organizations, and enjoy the delicious food!
For CIM students and alumni
The Summer Camp program is free of charge* for CIM students and CIM alumni who are currently enrolled at an educational institution. You can apply directly for the CIM Summer Camp Scholarship, which covers:
- Educational programs
- Accommodation
- Travel program in Beijing, Shanghai and Dalian
*International flights and visa costs are not included and must be covered by the participant.
For external students
Not a CIM student? No problem! You can still join the CIM Summer Camp for two weeks in Beijing, Shanghai and Dalian.
Costs: approx. €400–€500 per week*, including:
- Hotel accommodation
- Domestic transportation
- Educational programs
- Travel programs and visits to international organizations
*These costs are indicative. International flights and visa expenses are not included and must be covered by the participant.
Important to know

- Students cannot join the Summer Camp two years in a row (to give everyone a fair chance).
- To apply for the CIM Summer Camp Scholarship, you must:
- Be a registered student at an educational institution and with Confucius Institute Maastricht
- Have an official HSK Level 2 certificate or higher. Learn more about the HSK exam here
- Be between 18–30 years old
