Course Introduction

This course is designed for learners at HSK Levels 5–6 who wish to refine their spoken Chinese for complex and formal contexts. It focuses on enhancing students’ ability to express nuanced ideas and organize language effectively. Through integrated topics such as social issues, cultural differences, and technological developments, students will gain the skills needed to communicate fluently and appropriately in academic, professional, and public speaking environments.

Course Objectives

• Express complex ideas
  Clearly and coherently articulate personal viewpoints and stances on abstract and challenging topics.
• Improve language organization
  Master advanced structures involving logical relationships—such as cause and effect, contrast, concession, and hypothesis—to enhance clarity and coherence.
• Deepen cultural contextual understanding
  Learn to use idioms, proverbs, and cultural references to enrich spoken expression and connect more deeply with native speakers.
• Communicate in formal settings
  Develop the ability to speak confidently in formal contexts such as meetings, presentations, debates, and interviews.
