Course Introduction
Flexible class format
Advanced 1A Online offers a flexible and engaging way to continue your Chinese learning after completing the intermediate level. With live online classes, students can learn from anywhere while saving travel time and studying in a comfortable environment. The course is interactive and practice-oriented, combining topic discussions, situational dialogues, reading practice, language expression activities, and classroom communication. Students actively engage with the teacher and classmates and receive personalized feedback to improve accuracy, fluency, and confidence.
Further development of language skills
This course is designed for learners who have completed HSK Level 3 or have already acquired a solid foundation in Chinese. As the first half of the HSK Level 4 course, Advanced 1A Online helps students further develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
The course focuses on expanding vocabulary, strengthening grammar accuracy, understanding longer Chinese materials, and using more complex sentence structures to express ideas more clearly.
Further progress towards HSK 4
The course also supports students in communicating more effectively in familiar everyday and study-related contexts, as well as in topics connected to work, travel, culture, and personal opinions.
By the end of the course, students are expected to understand longer conversations and short written texts, express personal views with greater confidence, and build a solid foundation for continuing with Advanced 1B and working toward HSK Level 4.
Course Duration
15 lessons of 1 hour and 45 minutes. Additionally, 45 hours of self-study are recommended. This course is intended for students who have completed HSK 3 and already have a strong command of the Chinese language.

Language of Instruction
This course is taught by one of our experienced native teachers from our partner university in China. The course will be conducted in Chinese/English.

The study materials for the Advanced 1A Online course are included in the course fee.
Important Information
This course requires a minimum of 5 students and has a maximum of 10 students. If the course cannot start due to insufficient enrollment or other reasons, registered students will be informed in good time and the course fee will be refunded.
HSK exam
After completing both Advanced 1A and Advanced 1 B over two semesters, you can register for the HSK 4 exam. For more information about HSK exams, click here.
Important Update for HSK Exam Candidates!
Starting January 2025, in accordance with the latest guidelines from the Chinese Proficiency Test Center (Chinese Testing International), all candidates taking HSK Levels 3 to 6 must also take the HSKK spoken Chinese test.. The HSKK score will be automatically included in the overall HSK results.
