This event brings together leaders, educators, and young talents and their families for an inspiring full\u2011day program.<\/p>\n<p>Below you will find the program, background information about the event, and the options to reserve your participation and purchase a ticket.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>About the Roundtable Event<\/h2>\n<p>In the morning, we invite you to join an in\u2011depth discussion on the future of Chinese language education and how this knowledge can contribute to employability in the Netherlands. The Roundtable dialogue will take place on <strong>Sunday 31 May 2026, from 11:00 to 12:30 <\/strong>at the Wereldmuseum Rotterdam.<\/p>\n<div><strong>Visiting the museum<\/strong><br \/>\nParticipants who wish to explore the Wereldmuseum before the afternoon program are warmly welcome to do so. Museum entrance tickets can be purchased directly via the Wereldmuseum Rotterdam <a href=\"https:\/\/rotterdam.wereldmuseum.nl\/\">website<\/a>.<\/div>\n<h2>Our Mission<\/h2>\n<p>The Confucius Institute Maastricht &amp; Chinese Language Center Rotterdam supports learners in developing Chinese language skills together with cultural understanding for an international context:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>understanding perspectives across cultures;<\/li>\n<li>communicating clearly, appropriately and confidently in different situations;<\/li>\n<li>thinking independently, critically and together with others;<\/li>\n<li>switching between detail and overview.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Through language and cultural learning, we prepare learners to navigate complexity and act effectively in a changing world.<\/p>\n<p>Events such as this Chinese Bridge competition are part of this mission. They challenge learners to express ideas, respond to different perspectives, and communicate with confidence in real-life situations.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background: #f5f5f5; padding: 25px; border-radius: 8px; margin: 40px 0;\">\n<h2>Central Question<\/h2>\n<p>The core of the Roundtable discussion revolves around the question:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: italic; font-size: 1.05rem;\"><span data-teams=\"true\">\u201cIf AI can translate languages, can learning a language like Chinese still help people deal with complexity in work and life?
