Language is a bridge that connects different worlds, and this year, that bridge brings us to the 25th edition of the \u201cChinese Bridge\u201d Chinese Proficiency Competition for College Students<\/strong> and the 19th edition of the \u201cChinese Bridge\u201d Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students \u2013 Dutch Finals 2026!<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is Chinese Bridge?<\/h2>\n

Chinese Bridge is an international Chinese-speaking competition that promotes cultural and educational exchange. It allows talented students to showcase their language skills, build confidence on stage, and connect with a wider global community of learners. For many participants, it becomes an inspiring step toward future academic and career opportunities.<\/p>\n

Hosted by the Confucius Institute Maastricht<\/strong> in collaboration with the Nuffic China Network<\/strong>, the 2026 Dutch Final takes place on May 30\u201331<\/strong> in Rotterdam, featuring two categories:<\/p>\n

    This year\u2019s edition offers a full weekend of immersion, creativity, and connection in one of the Netherlands’ most vibrant and culturally rich cities. Participants will explore Rotterdam\u2019s international character and strong ties to the Chinese community while taking part in an inspiring program.<\/p>\n

      Speech Competition \u2013 What to Expect<\/h2>\n

      The speech competition for both groups takes place on May 31, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      A 5\u2011minute speech<\/p>\n

      • On the theme \u201cOne World, One Family \u5929\u4e0b\u4e00\u5bb6\u201d (College students)<\/strong><\/li>\n
      • On the theme \u201cFly high with Chinese<\/b><\/span> \u8ffd\u68a6\u4e2d\u6587\uff0c\u4e0d\u8d1f\u97f6\u534e<\/b><\/span>\u201d (Secondary school students)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Workshops and coaching throughout the weekend will help you refine your content and delivery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

        Friends, family, and visitors are warmly welcome to attend the final competition day (ticket information will be available soon).<\/p>\n

        • Accommodation, meals, workshops, and activities are fully covered by the organizers.<\/li>\n
        • Participants arrange their own travel to Rotterdam.<\/li>\n
        • All participants take part in a talent show related to Chinese culture (music, painting, dance, martial arts, calligraphy, poetry, etc.).<\/li>\n
        • A short video submission is required for language\u2011level verification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

          • Your speaking level is around HSK 3 or higher (no certificate required)<\/li>\n
          • You were not<\/em> the 2025 Dutch Final first\u2011place winner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
