17 Apr CIM visits Danhua Chinese School in Rotterdam
On the 18th of January 2020, Xinxin Wang and Lili Deng, Directors of Confucius Institute Maastricht at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, visited the Danhua Chinese School in Rotterdam.
The Danhua Chinese School was established in 1999 and is one of the most famous and successful Chinese schools in Europe. It currently has more than 600 students and 40 staff members.
During this visit, CIM introduced its background, noting its co-establishment by Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) in China and Zuyd University in the Netherlands. Zuyd is the only applied sciences university (Hogeschool) in the Netherlands with an undergraduate major in ‘’Chinese and Communication’’. CIM has also cooperated with DUFE to increase the application of Chinese in the professional field. CIM’s Chinese major was established more than 30 years ago and has trained many professionals who are active in the field of Sino-Dutch exchanges.
With similar goals like supporting local Chinese teaching, CIM hopes to strengthen its exchanges and cooperation in Chinese teaching and administering HSK examinations with Danhua.
This will provide Chinese learners with an opportunity to better understand China as well as a give them a better insight into understanding The Sino-Dutch cooperation!
